Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable): BSW or BS/BA in related field. Past experience in child welfare program preferred.
Job Description: Outreach specialist in this position is responsible for the support and retention of foster parents. Outreach specialist also facilitate reunification visits for children with their biological families. Tasks include but are not limited to assisting DYFS with the placement of foster children, support foster parents through regular contact, i.e. home visits and telephone calls. Specialist is available to answer foster parents questions, and assist them in the coordination and resolution of problems and concerns; identifying childcare providers, obtaining respite services, counseling services and other resources as necessary.
