Valid NYS Drivers License a MUST to be considered for this position.

2-3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

Must be willing to carry an agency cell phone.

Should be flexible in terms of scheduling.

Job Description:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Residence Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Interview and recommend staff to be hired, oriented, trained, scheduled, supervised, evaluated and when necessary, terminated.

Responsible for regular review of programs in relation to DD/IRA’s regulations: meet with ITT members to correct deficiencies, establish and write procedures with them when necessary.

Conduct daily review of residence to ensure that high standards or cleanliness and care are maintained and that damage and defective materials are replaced and/or repaired; review and approve time sheet submitted by staff.

Meet with families and/or guardians to discuss progress and future plans for consumers when deemed necessary.

Attend OMR/DD information and technical assistance sessions and seminars, Metro New York DDSO and Mental Retardation Council meeting where applicable and deemed necessary by the ICF and or Director of Residential Services.

Notify ICF Manager and follow protocol in the event to an untoward incident.

Participate in and ensure that consumer quarterly and annual ITT’s are completed and recorded in a timely and professional manner as per federal and state regulations.

To ascertain that a therapeutic recreation program for consumers, including meaningful recreational, social and leisure time activities development of each consumer maintained.

Ensure that appropriate staff participates in service training, so as to assist direct care in the development and implementation of meaningful, safe, therapeutic recreational activities.

Maintain appropriate records as they pertain to ICF’s.

Responsible for staff scheduling (daily, weekly, monthly, e. g. holidays, sick, personal and vacation days) for the ICF facility.

Responsible for summarizing consumer goal data and residential and day program sections of monthlies, quarterlies and annuals.

The agency will reimburse you for all out of pocket expenses related to agency business incurred by you.

Responsible for the ordering of household supplies, Activity of Daily Living Supplies, weekly food supply QA forms, weekly supervisory form, supervise Maintenance and ensure that Maintenance QA form is completed and any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by the Residence manager.

Ensure that all consumers appointments are scheduled, completed and followed -up.

Ensure weekly water log is done.

Ensure that all consumer program plans and goals are being run and documented.

Coordinate the ordering delivery and picking up of food, household supplies, medication, making certain that all deliveries are correct and signed off on.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Be responsible for conducting fire drill and implementation of evacuation procedures in the evenings or as needed.

Check all consumer bedrooms before leaving your shift at night.

Other Information About This Job:
To provide performance evaluations for responsible staff when due (July first of each fiscal year) or as deemed necessary by the Residence manager.
