Rosemary Children's Services opened its doors in 1920 to adolescent girls. Since then the agency has grown to provide "at-risk" youths with therapeutic and compassionate services through Residential Care, Non Public School, Mental Health, Foster Family Agency and Adoption Programs. Rosemary's Mental Health Program has an opening for a Program Nurse to work directly with adolescent "at-risk" girls in a Residential Group Home setting. Responsibities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Administers medication as assigned, ensuring that staff is informed of the medications, their administration and potential side effects.
2. Serves as liaison with consulting medical doctors and psychiatrists and ensure that follow up instructions are appropriately communicated, implemented and recorded.
3. Maintains the proper and timely documentation of all medication procedures and services of youth.
4. Ensure that the court has approved all medications before they can be administered.
5. Tracks and monitors effectiveness of psychotropic medications and distributes this information to psychiatrist and assigned therapist.
6. Complete quarterly, monthly and quarterly medical reports on residents and distribute reports to the appropriate agencies.
7. Respond to illness or injuries that occur in the Day Rehabilitation program.
8. Available via cell phone every other weekend and provice On-Call services.
