Significant experience working in a supportive housing setting with individuals who are diagnosed with HIV/AIDS or who have substance abuse and/or psychiatric disorders preferred. Experience with harm reduction and motivational interviewing techniques. Demonstrable written and oral communication, and group facilitation skills. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

The BRC Glass Factory has 45 units of supported housing for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.   Fully renovated in 1996, the Glass Factory is a permanent SRO housing facility funded by the NYC Human Resource Administration’s HIV/AIDS Services Administration and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development. In addition to providing permanent housing for its tenants, Glass Factory offers a variety of supportive services aimed at helping clients stabilize their health, maintain their independence and build a community of support among peers. These services include case management, medication monitoring, referrals to medical facilities, health education, psychiatric management, entitlement support and money management, recreational activities, assistance with activities of daily living and free meals.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the management of all facets of a 45-unit supportive SRO for formerly homeless individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and often having substance abuse and/or mental health disorders. Recruit and supervise all staff including professional/clinical and non-professional/administrative. Oversee the development and implementation of service plans and the clinical coordination of services to clients. Develop, implement and evaluate program service delivery to meet clients’ needs. Produce monthly and annual reports. Ensure compliance with contracts and regulations. Take responsibility for 24-hour operations, which includes security and building services. Related duties as assigned. Reports to Deputy Executive Director.
