Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required
2. 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
4. OIG Investigator training preferred
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access


Job Description:
Essential Job Functions:
1. Catalogues and analyzes unusual, accident, and critical incidents for purposes of risk management.
2. Catalogues and reviews individual(s) reports of or suspected abuse and neglect.
3. Completes the quarterly Med Error/Injury Report for DHS, implements corrective action identified per system analysis.
4. Develops, coordinates, and catalogues corrective actions as related to internal reviews, critical incidents, near misses, and/or compliance/best practice improvements
5. Completes quarterly Quality Assurance Report
6. Monitors corporate compliance program. Conducts quarterly audits to prevent, detect and correct fraud, waste or abuse of federal funds.
7. Conducts inquiries and/or investigates allegations of possible improprieties of corporate compliance standards in conjunction with the Vocational Division VP.
8. Assures Program Policy and Procedures are updated and reflective of best practice standards and regulations.
9. Reviews state regulations semi-annually to ensure contractual compliance.
10. Monitors monthly service hours for contracted program enrollment.
11. Responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing supervision of an outcomes related quality improvement system comprised of Outcome Measurement, Accessibility, and Quality Assurance. Prepares annual report for VP and program committee review.
12. Survey internal and external customers bi-annually to evaluate and improve the quality of individual service and achieving the goals of the Strategic Plan.
13. Facilitates the application, review, and preparation for CARF and DHS accreditation/licensure and chairs preparation work groups. Reviews standards regularly and recommends procedural changes for compliance.
14. Serves as the lead of the OIG investigative team as the OIG Liaison and acts as advisor to OIG trained personnel.
15. Chairs Quality Assurance Committee which oversees subcommittees to ensure compliance with related requirements in the areas of Accessibility, Risk Management (Safety), and Utilization.
16. Chairs Advocacy Review Committee, ensures advocacy of individuals rights and adherence to state regulations and agency policies.
17. Educate, promote and provide support to individuals in making healthy lifestyle choices, as referenced in the DSP health and safety and health and nutrition training curriculums and/or service plans.
18. Identify and utilize effective advocacy strategies to overcome the diverse challenges facing individuals, i.e., human rights, legal, administrative and financial.
