Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable): Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in social work, psychology, rehabilitation or related field. An equivalent combination of education and related experience, including unpaid or paid internships and Must have at least one (1) years in a human services organization. Job Description: A well established non-for-profit organization in New York City is seeking a Program Coordinator.This candidate will work with members in the development and coordination of clubhouse programs and activities. Candidate will provide case management on an as needed basis; facilitate basic living skills workshops on food preparation, health/wellness and hygiene topics, supervise the café unit area daily; recording and maintain monthly nutritional requirements according to the Child Adult Care Food Preparation standards and acts as a participant-leader including assessing member development, interacting and engaging in activities with them to assist in the therapeutic relationship. This is a 35 hours a week/9:00am to 5:00pm;provide flexible hours for Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoon (to be shared with staff). Other Information About This Job: Must be able to pass an OMH background check. Must have experience working in a human services organization; experience in a clubhouse or other mental health community support program is preferred. Must have knowledge of Microsoft windows and Microsoft office; familiarity with MAC OS, graphic design software and website design software is a plus.
